Announcing the new dates for the 2006 LABRAU III, the new FULL FALL OPTION, and the new 2006 SPRING LAGBRAU LITE. Early sign up discount is $95. The on-line code for the early discount thru Active.com is - Arches. "What a beautiful place...it was the ride of a lifetime." David from California "I have experienced about a dozen tours... LAGBRAU is the first ride I'd consider repeating." Diana from Detroit. "The riding venue...is exceptional -- a world class panarama of spectacular scenery." Karl from California. "This one week ride was indeed the best of the best." Steve & Carol from Texas. After a second successful year, and with growing interest as the word trickles out about the LAGBRAU, we are pleased to announce the new 2006 Spring LAGBRAU Lite, the revised route for the 2006 LAGBRAU III in the fall, and the new "Full Fall Option" to LAGBRAU III that will include 3 extra days of riding, two more exceptionally scenic national parks (Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park) and another amazing state park (Dead Horse Point State Park). The new Spring LAGBRAU Lite will take place the week immediately preceeding and leading into Memorial Day weekend, May 20-27, 2006. It will be a little shorter than the fall LAGBRAU III, spend more time in the parks, go from the west (Zion National Park) to the east to avoid western spring headwinds, and will end Thursday afternoon in Bull Frog Marina at Lake Powell, an amazing lake with more coastline than the west coast of the United States. This ri! de is designed for those who are not in peak shape yet in the spring, or who are uncertain of their abilities to handle the distances and climbs of the fall LAGBRAU, and who would enjoy spending a little more time in the amazing parks along the way.
The 2006 LAGBRAU III changes to the fall itinerary implements suggestions by the 2005 participants to make a fabulous ride even better. It will end in Cedar City instead of Zion National Park or St. George, Utah. This will also allow some more time in the Parks along the way and to rest the legs for the last climb over Cedar Breaks National Monument to Cedar City on Saturday, September 23rd . Participants will still be able to spend time in Zion to break up the shuttle ride over to Blanding either at the beginning of the ride or after the end, for those who come from the east and leave their cars in Blanding for the week. Sunday morning, September 24th, LAGBRAUers will be shuttled back one hour to Zion National Park or St. George, 3 hours back to Las Vegas, or 6 hours back to Blanding (plus the time they spend in Zion National Park along the way). Participants in the "Full Fall Option" will come two days early, but will ride three days extra totaling a ten d! ay ride. The third day will be a ride from Moab to Blanding to join the regular LAGBRAU III particapants who will be shuttling over to Blanding that day before the opening ceremony. IMAGINE, 10 days, 5 National Parks, 5 amazing State Parks, 4 National Forests, 3 National Monuments, 1 National Recreation Area and a variety of ancient Indian ruins along 3 Scenic Byways. All of this to help children and youth. IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER!
