Rolling on the River Illinois' Ride for the Environment
September 2-3, 2006
- Biggest bicycle ride in Illinois Labor Day Weekend (Saturday September 2)—to help protect and improve Illinois environment.
- Bicycle the scenic, rural, low traffic roads of the Fox River valley (Yorkville/Plano) on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend.
- Cycling for all skill levels on 10, 25, 45, 62, 100 mi routes.
- Five Rest stops include Silver Springs State Park, fully supported ride with mechanical and first aid assistance.
- If you liked the Silver Springs 60, you’ve got to try this!
- Post ride party, music and meal featuring organic food by Organic Valley, Organic Prairie, GoGo Organics.
- Eco-activities make this an event like no other—try your hand at Nordic walking, flycasting, birding, stargazing, water sampling, bug hunt, IL Raptor Center’s program with owls, hawks and eagles and lots more (Great for kids and adults).
