The Illinois Prairie Path was selected for this national honor by the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy on the basis of scenic value, high use, trail and trailside amenities, historical significance, excellence in management and maintenance, and the communities it connects. Thank you to all of our towns, park districts, The Illinois Prairie Path not-for-profit corporation, partner organizations and businesses, prairie stewards, our volunteers, and all who share in this honor and have contributed to making the Illinois Prairie Path worthy of this wonderful recognition.
Please help me sharing this announcement with your community leaders and officials, club members, bicycle/pedestrian and environmental committees, citizens, and others that may be interested in joining us.
Bicycle clubs, advocacy groups, environmental groups, and other organizations. Please ask your members to check in with me when they arrive so that I can make sure that your group is acknowledged during the introductions. I will be wearing a black DuPage County shirt.
