The Arlington 500 Ride

Details:

Sunday, 7 am.
This is 500-furlong ride (62.5 mi) takes its reference from Arlington's race course fame. The ride starts from Barrington High School and winds through the ritzy neighborhoods of Barrington Hills. The distance options are 30, 44, 54, or 68 mi. Registration fee is $10 prior to May 10th.

Blackhawk Country Roads Ride

Details:

Saturday, 7 am.
This two-day event was previously known as the Blackhawk Club's Stateline Sixty. One can ride on either Saturday or Sunday.
The rotue starts from the Greater Rockton Center provides a scenic tour of the Illinois-Wisconsin border. The terrain includes moderate hills and distance options of 30, 45 (New!), and 60 miles. The cost is $16 prior to May 16 ($21 on day of ride), and includes lunch.

The 26th Annual Udder Century

Details:

Sunday, 6:30 am.
This popular Midwest ride starts from Donley's Wild West Town, in Union, IL. The route is flat to rolling with distance options of 31, 50, 62, 75 (new!) and 100 miles. The registration fee is $20 prior to May 21st, and includes a pasta meal at the finish.

  1. The advertised pace indicates the average speed. This includes the effects of hills, wind, stop signs, and traffic lights etc. To maintain an average pace, one's speed over a flat smooth surface will be 2 - 4 mph faster.
  2. Some events are weather dependent!
  3. For "No Call/No Ride," events, call the assigned event leader to inform them you'll be joining the ride. Members can consult the newsletter for telephone numbers. Non-members are welcome. Just turn up and introduce yourself. If you have questions, you can contact the ride leader or Ride Director by e-mail.
