Club Meetings (unless otherwise posted) are on the second Wednesday of each month at the Batavia Public Library (Located at the S. East corner of Rt. 31 and Wilson St.)

  • Social period from 7:00pm

36th Blackhawk Country Roads

Details:

Saturday, 7 am.
The ride starts from historic downtown Rockton, IL, and held both Saturday May 26th and Sunday 27th. The distance options are 10, 30, 45, and 60 miles. Registration is $16 before May 11 and $21 after. The ride fee includes lunch; usually chili, baked potato, salad and dessert.

Lunch ride to Woodstock

Details:

Saturday, 9:30 am.
Hampshire HS north lot. 60 miles. C/D pace. Hampshire to Woodstock. Clear skies, open roads and the historic Woodstock Square on this close-to metric century. Sit-down lunch in Woodstock or other options. And you get to see Marengo; not to be missed. Road bike recommended.

Active Transporation Aliance - Lake Shore Drive is closed to cars for the morning so bikes can enjoy it. Can start as early as 5:30 AM, and cannot start after 9 AM.

36th Blackhawk Country Roads

Details:

Sunday, 7 am.
This is the second day the ride that starts from historic downtown Rockton, IL. The ride runs both Saturday and Sunday. The distance options are 10, 30, 45, and 60 miles. Registration is $16 before May 11 and $21 after. The ride fee includes lunch; usually chili, baked potato, salad and dessert.

  1. The advertised pace indicates the average speed. This includes the effects of hills, wind, stop signs, and traffic lights etc. To maintain an average pace, one's speed over a flat smooth surface will be 2 - 4 mph faster.
  2. Some events are weather dependent!
  3. For "No Call/No Ride," events, call the assigned event leader to inform them you'll be joining the ride. Members can consult the newsletter for telephone numbers. Non-members are welcome. Just turn up and introduce yourself. If you have questions, you can contact the ride leader or Ride Director by e-mail.
