Subject: Bike Florida with Bicycle Illinois

Bicycle Illinois will be riding Bike Florida this year and we’d like you to come with us! Bike Florida is a great early season event and we’d like to get our own cycling in before this summer. We’re looking forward to getting out of the cold Chicago weather! If you're not familiar with Bike Florida it is a 6-day, 300-400 mile bicycle tour from Sat. March 17 to Fri. March 23 that starts and ends in Deland, FL (near Orlando). You can get more information about the ride at www.bikeflorida.org. Bike Florida does charge a late registration fee starting on January 17th and the registration is limited to 1000 people so if you're interested sign up soon! Since we’re heading down to Florida, we can also provide you safe bicycle transportation from downtown Chicago directly to the start of the trip. You won't have to disassemble and box your bike and worry about damage or theft since all bikes will be under lock and key and under our immediate supervision at all times. This is a great deal compared to the cost, the hassle, and the risks of damage or theft of boxing up your bike and shipping it via UPS or airplane. You will be still be responsible for transporting yourself and your gear to the trip start and Bicycle Illinois will not be providing any other type of services on Bike Florida other. Right now I don’t know what the cost of the bicycle transport service will be, but I am looking for an initial interest level.
