The Fox Valley Bicycle & Ski Club

Sunday April 24th, 2005

The Silver Springs Sixty open invitational ride is one of the first of the season in north-eastern Illinois. Although one never knows what weather to expect , the blossom is out and the trees are budding. This is why it is the 31st event, and attracts up to 800 cyclists from the Chicagoland area. The ride starts and finishes in Yorkville, a small town located 15 miles south west of Auora, Illinois. The route follows a number of scenic routes along quiet country roads in Kendall county. Each route is characterized by flat to rolling terrain. After the ride you can enjoy an all-you-can-eat pasta dinner, where you can relax and dine in with friends, while listening to live folk music.
