Tuesday night casual Ride - 10 miles

This ride  is a slower speed, conversational ride that traverses the neighborhoods and trails. If you are new to cycling, getting back on the bike, or just want to meet new people and enjoy the sunsets, this is the ride for you!  Typical pace is 10-12 MPH (or slightly higher depending upon the group) and typical distance is 10-15+ miles.

• In accordance with Restore Illinois Phase 4 guidelines, Minimum Social Distancing rules must be followed (strongly recommend more than 6 feet while riding). 

Please bring front light as it is getting dark earlier now.

COVID-19 Guidelines

FVBSC is pleased to participate in the #VirtualEdition of the Everybody Rides, whose proceeds benefit Project Mobility's mission to bring adaptive cycling opportunities to the lives of children, adults, and wounded service members with emotional and physical challenges.  From 8/23 to 8/30, all FVBSC rides will correspond to the Everybody Rides routes and cyclists are encouraged to make a donation as part of the FVBSC Team.  FVBSC will match up to $1500 for all membership donations.  On behalf of FVBSC, The Bike Rack and Project Mobility, we thank you for your support.

 

Ride leaders and cyclists are encouraged (not mandated) to register as follows:

1.     Visit www.everybodyride.org

2.     Scroll down the home page, click REGISTER (red box)

3.     Select the RIDE DISTANCE (10, 29, 47 or 62 miles)

4.     Click JOIN AN EXISTING TEAM

5.     Select Fox Valley Bicycle & Ski Club

6.     Password:  (see latest email sent to club members)

7.      Skip the FUNDRAISER and DONATE page (unless you want to make an additional donation

8.     Enter your email address to get a confirmation receipt (needed for tax records and beer redemption)

9.     Complete registration process and pay fee ($35 fee + $3 process)
