Hike - Red Gate Woods/Palos Area (10 miles)

Bike club members of FVBSC , the outdoor biking season has ended for the majority of the riders.
So now we switch to doing hikes to keep enjoying the outdoors .
So please consider doing this hike with the Forest Trails Hiking Club .
This area is the premier mecca of mountain biking with awesome trails for bikes and hiking .
Ps. this club does party after every ride with food and drinks ,everyone is welcome to stay and socialize
and everyone brings something to the table

November 27– Red Gate Woods/Palos Area (10 miles)–9:30 am
Driving info: About 1 hour, 30 miles

This is a moderately paced and somewhat strenuous hike through a beautiful, hilly forest in the Palos 
Preserve beginning at the Red Gate Woods lot.
Take 294 from the north, exit 22 for 75th Street toward Willow Springs Road. Take Willow Springs Road 
to Archer Avenue, turn right on Archer (IL-171), drive about 2.5 miles to entrance on the left. There will 
be an opportunity for a shorter hike.
