5:45 PM: Last Thursday Evening Trail Ride of 2021 – 14+ mph pace - LIGHTS MANDATORY
About this event
Planned after-work trail ride of ~25 miles from KCGC to Dick Young FP on mix of trails and neighborhoods. Majority of surface is paved, except for 1.5 miles of limestone/light gravel in Dick Young FP. Cross/Trail bikes recommended but road bikes with wide tires should be OK. There is no water stop so please plan accordingly.
FRONT & REAR LIGHTS MANDATORY. High visibility apparel recommended. We may start in daylight but will finish in the dark.
This is a NO-DROP ride. Cyclists must be comfortable with a fast pace on trails , climbing and riding in pace lines (as allowed). Everyone needs to have the ride course on their GPS/phone and/or a printout of map & cue sheet.
Please bring a change of clothes as many of us will plan to visit Nobel House, 305 W State St, Geneva, IL 60134 for post-ride refreshment. Please bring a mask.
