If so, then the FVBSC Scavenger Hunt is the ride for you!
Who: All current FVBSC members
What: 1st Annual Scavenger Hunt
Each registered rider will get an e-mail on ride morning with the photo clues for landmarks for which the riders must then locate. You can find all 16 local landmarks on or very near the Fox River Trail (FRT) in St Charles, Geneva and/or Batavia. Take a selfie at each location and add your photos to your favorite social media using #FVBSC #ScavengerHuntRide
After you have collected all your photos return to Fabyan Forest Preserve Shelter #1 to show Rob your pictures and verify you found all the locations. Who knows, there may be some type of prize(s)?!?
This is NOT a race. Everyone will have plenty of time to ride the trail at their own comfortable pace, safely navigating the bike trail, locating the landmarks, and returning to Fabyan Forest Preserve to turn in their results.
Where: Fabyan Forest Preserve Shelter #1 (located on West side of the Fox River) in Geneva. We will have a shelter with 10-12 picnic tables. There is a restroom with flushable toilets.
When: October 9th @ 10:00 am CT (please register by October 8th by 5pm)
Why: Why not??? To have fun, meet new people and learn more about the area!
To promote camaraderie and assist members who may not be as familiar with the local Fox River Trail system! We will be forming groups of 2-4 on ride morning, mixing riders familiar with the local Fox River Trail with those who may be less familiar.
How Much: Free to all current FVBSC members but registration is required by October 8th at 5 pm. Per club rules, a guest is allowed to participate in club events up to two times before committing to membership, so feel free to invite a guest!
NOTE: Per Forest Preserve guidelines - any pets must be on leashes. Leave the shelter clean. No Alcohol. No amplified music.
Cookies and beverages will be available at the end of the Scavenger Hunt at the Fabyan Shelter #1
