Natchez Trace Parkway Road Bike Tour

The Natchez Trace Parkway leads travelers through three states and offers an easy-going, easy-to-love experience. The National Park Service has designated the entire 444 miles as a bicycle route, and with light automotive traffic— commercial traffic prohibited—slow speeds (only 50 miles per hour) and no stop signs or intersections, bikers can relax and enjoy an exceptionally scenic roadway, unspoiled by commercial signage or development, and offering up gorgeous vistas at every turn, from forests to farmlands to rivers and lakes.

Support vehicle will be available for shuttling a limited amount of gear, refreshments and lunches where lunches are not conveniently available. Participants will be helping with and contributing to the cost of support.
Participants will carpool to Nashville, Tennessee on Friday, April 6. Hotel rooms reserved.
On Saturday, April 7, the group will travel to Natchez, Mississippi by shuttle with bikes on a trailer. Hotel rooms also reserved in Natchez.
All distances are approximations and are from hotel to hotel ... driving SAG can reduce number of miles you ride. Meal stops are tentative. Final plans still being made.
Day 1-- ride 85 miles to Clinton, MS-- Eagle Ridge Resort ~$85/room, food at resort. Lunch on the road at 40 mile marker town of Port Gibson.
Day 2— ride 75 miles to Carthage, MS-- Economy Inn ~$54, food nearby. Lunch in Ridgeland 35 mile marker.
Day 3-- ride 73 miles to Eupora, MS-- Oak Tree Inn ~$49, food nearby. Lunch at Bethel Mission Picnic Grounds at about 40 miles, provided by support vehicle, everyone pitches in.
Day 4--ride 71 miles to Tupelo, Ms--American Best Value Inn ~$60, food nearby. Lunch at Witch Dance Picnic Grounds at about 37 miles provided by support vehicle, everyone pitches in.
Day 5-- ride 85 miles to Florence, AL-- Knights Inn ~$53, food nearby. Lunch at Tishomingo State Park about 40 miles by support vehicle, everyone pitches in.
Day 6-- ride 76 miles to Hohenwald, TN-- Embassy Inn ~$65, food nearby. Lunch at Glenrock Branch Picnic Ground at about 37 miles by support vehicle, everyone pitches in.
Day 7-- ride 69 miles to Terminus (The END)— Lunch at Water Valley Overlook at about 30 mile by support vehicle, everyone pitches in. Hotel reserved in the Nashville area.
