The mission of the Fox Valley Bicycle & Ski Club (FVBSC) is to encourage, educate and promote safe recreation, fitness and alternative transportation while preserving our precious natural resources. Our purpose is to promote the general interest of cycling and skiing, educate and inform the community about safety, rules of the road, maintenance, etiquette and more. We work with governmental and cycling organizations to defend the rights of cyclists, promote bike trails and lanes, and help formulate bicycle legislation and support infrastructure development. We contribute to the community through volunteerism and donations and promote good fellowship and lasting friendships. See our most recent newsletter here.
Rides are offered in a variety of formats, including road, trail, gravel and now Zwift rides in various distances and speeds all throughout the week. Our goal is to provide safe and diverse rides that appeal to all types of cyclists, ranging from beginner/casual to advanced. Although the majority of our rides run from April to October, we do schedule rides anytime weather permits, including during weekends in the winter months. Most rides occur in the Fox Valley area, but out-of-town day rides or group trips are offered as well. Bios of our exceptional ride leaders can be found here.
